It's been a while, but here is the update. We are both having health issues, but nothing too serious on my end. Just my horrible effing genetics. Desiree went to her first football game with friends tonight. I keep wanting to text her and call her. Justin tells me to let her be a teen... Its so hard! I've been working hard at work trying to do better... It's paid off. I'm one of the best on my team now, and since I start my Bachelor's next month (EEEK!!!) I want to be in a position that I can move up and use my degree. I don't want to be someone that has a degree they don't ever use. I'm still hoping that people will see our page and realize that we could use the help they would provide. We are struggling, trying to make a better life, and so far things have gotten in the way of that. Add Comment Post Title. 07/19/2011
It's been a little over a month and we're still hoping more people will see this site. I really want to do something amazing for Desiree during the wedding, like give her a necklace or ring that has her birthstone, and then mine and Justin's as well to show family unity. I haven't even picked out a dress, but Justin is wearing his family tartan- yes, a kilt. This is one of the pricier items. Our Dream Wedding 06/03/2011
Here is what we really want. I want a dress that it simple and flowing, with green accents. Our flowers are to be red and yellow tulips with Irish heather and Scottish Thistle mixed in. I plan to wear the McNamara tartan sash down the aisle, and I want Justin's grandparents to present me with the Wallace tartan to replace the McNamara one, signifying that they accept me into their family. We want to give the Wallace parents and grandparents special jewelry (undecided on this just yet) that we will present to them at this time as well. Desiree will have a necklace or a ring made that will be a circle and will have our three birthstones in it, signifying our unification as a family. Justin's Highland Kilt is the majority of the cost. The Kilt alone it looking to be around $1000, but it's very important to him that he follow his heritage. We want a secular, outdoor wedding with bagpipes and our reception should be in a place that doesnt have harsh fluorescent lighting (we both get migraines from that). We want to have a specialty cake shaped like a honeybear jar wearing the Wallace tartan and then cereal treats cut into hearts and flowers for our guests to snack on. This is just the basic stuff. The bridesmaids will be wearing red or yellow, First Post! 06/03/2011
